Advantages of Spanish origin

Why manufacturing in Spain makes the difference?

Mediterranean climate expertise

Producing in the Mediterranean gives us a deep understanding of the region's highest-value crops: olive, citrus, almond, grapevine and intensive horticulture. Our products are formulated to perform under heat, drought and high sunlight conditions.

EU CE 2018/848 regulatory compliance

By manufacturing in the EU, all our products fully comply with the European Organic Production Regulation CE 2018/848, the world's most stringent standard. This facilitates approval in any European market without additional procedures.

Proximity to European markets

Málaga enables competitive delivery times to any point in Europe. Logistics from Spain is agile and cost-effective for continental distributors. Our location also facilitates access to western Mediterranean ports for intercontinental export.

We publish the chloride an accredited laboratory measures

The chloride content of the catalogue references is measured by ion chromatography to UNE-EN 10304-1 at an ENAC-accredited laboratory, and published product by product: eight below the limit of detection, ten with a measured value and seven declared as not yet tested. Of those seven we claim neither that they contain chloride nor that they do not. Publishing the gaps is what makes the rest of the table trustworthy.

We compare declared against measured, and publish the measured value

Every product page carries its laboratory analysis comparing the declared composition against the tested result. Where the two disagree, the figure we publish is the measured one. It is an uncomfortable decision, and it is why a technician can rely on the datasheet without repeating the analysis.

The tank-mix table, published before you ask for it

A crop manager's real question is not whether the product works, but whether it can share a tank with what is already being applied. That is why we publish the compatibility matrix: 85 combinations across the catalogue references, 32 incompatible, 50 requiring caution and 3 compatible, each with the chemical mechanism behind it.

25 products for all crops

The Ecoganic range covers the 8 fundamental nutrition categories for highest-value crops: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, full NPK, algae biostimulants, fulvic acids and micronutrients. All 100% soluble and residue-free.

Frequently asked questions

Where is Ecoganic organic fertilizer manufactured?

All Ecoganic products are manufactured in Málaga, Spain. Own production in Spain allows us to guarantee complete traceability of raw materials, quality control in each batch and compliance with European regulations (CE 2018/848) and export regulations (NOP USDA, JAS). Manufacturing in Spain also allows us to access CAP support for the development of organic inputs.

Can Ecoganic supply large volumes for international distribution?

Yes. Ecoganic works with importers, agricultural cooperatives, distribution groups and agricultural input wholesalers in Europe, Latin America, North America and Asia. We have production capacity to supply large volumes with consistency in quality and composition. Contact our export department to discuss supply conditions and international logistics.

What advantages does buying organic fertilizer from a Spanish manufacturer offer vs other origins?

Manufacturing in Spain and the EU offers several advantages for international distributors: 1) Products comply with CE 2018/848, the world's most stringent reference standard for organic. 2) European traceability with access to audits. 3) Labels and technical data sheets available in 6 languages. 4) Optimized logistics for all of Europe. 5) Triple certification (CE+NOP+JAS) allowing sales in the EU, US and Japan from the same supplier.

How much chloride do your products contain?

It depends on the reference, which is why it is published one by one. Eight fall below the limit of detection, ten have a measured value between 0.05% and 5.62%, and seven have not been tested yet: of those seven we claim neither that they contain chloride nor that they do not. What has been tested was tested by ion chromatography to UNE-EN 10304-1 at an ENAC-accredited laboratory.

How do they differ from a seaweed extract?

Seaweed extracts — Ascophyllum, kelp — are harvested from the sea and carry the salts of the medium they grew in. Our microalgae, Chlorella and Scenedesmus, are grown in bioreactors in fresh water, so the growing medium does not add that salt load. What each formulation actually contains is measured and published on the chloride analysis page. The difference is irrelevant in many crops and decisive in salinity-sensitive ones: avocado, citrus, blueberry, strawberry, almond and vine.

Do they work against fungi, insects or nematodes?

No, and it is worth saying so plainly. These are biostimulants and fertilisers under Regulation (EU) 2019/1009, and that framework only allows claims of abiotic stress tolerance, nutrient use efficiency and crop quality. They are not plant protection products and we do not attribute any effect on pests or diseases to them. If someone tells you otherwise, they are describing a different product.
