CALCIUM 40
NPK 0-0-0+Ca
Description
Liquid calcium suspension, with a density of 1.624 kg/L and pH 7.99. It declares over 25% w/w calcium (Ca) and testing at an accredited laboratory measured 34.0% w/w calcium oxide (CaO). The calcium carbonate is micronised below 1 μm, and it incorporates 25% w/w freshwater unicellular algae extract. Calcium is involved in cell-wall firmness and post-harvest keeping. It is applied foliarly at 2-3 L/ha or 200-300 cc/100 L and through fertigation at 5-6 L/ha. Chloride below the limit of detection: under 0.05% w/w.

Foliar, Fertigation. Recommended dose: Foliar: 2–3 L/ha or 200–300 cc/100 L · Fertigation: 5–6 L/ha
Is CALCIUM 40 suitable for certified organic farming?
+
Yes. CALCIUM 40 is certified under CE 2018/848 (EU), NOP USDA (USA). It is suitable for certified organic production in those markets.
How much chloride does CALCIUM 40 contain?
+
Below the limit of detection: under 0.05% w/w on the original sample. Measured by ion chromatography to UNE-EN 10304-1 at an ENAC-accredited laboratory. The value relates to the batch analysed and is a provisional result, single batch and single sample.
What must not be tank-mixed with CALCIUM 40?
+
It must not share a tank with PHOSMAX 20, PHOSMAX 20 Suspensión Líquida, TERRA HUMID LIQUID, PK-FLOW 20, IRONPLUS, MICRO PLUS 1-0-0. That is 6 of the 16 combinations evaluated for this product, each with its chemical mechanism and what you will see in the tank. Verdicts are derived from composition and pH, not from a compatibility trial: run the jar test with your own field water before loading.
Is there a published field trial with CALCIUM 40?
+
Yes. Cantaloupe melon: +18% firmness and +155% fruit calcium with CALCIUM 40% PLUS — Holden Research, Arizona 2008-2010. Trials are published with their methodology and source, and where a difference between treatment and control does not reach statistical significance we say so explicitly.
