Organic fertilization for tomato
Tomato is one of the most intensive crops in terms of nutritional demand. It requires a balanced program covering all growth stages: transplanting, flowering, fruit set, bulking and ripening. Calcium is especially critical to prevent blossom end rot.

How do you correct nitrogen deficiency or excess in tomato?
+
Nitrogen deficiency in tomato shows as yellowing of older leaves (chlorosis), weak plants and poor fruit set; it is corrected with fast-assimilation organic nitrogen such as NITROTECH 2.5. Nitrogen excess, conversely, causes excessive vegetative growth, delayed ripening, soft fruit and greater susceptibility to pests and diseases; it is corrected by balancing with potassium (PK-FLOW 20) and calcium (CALCIUM 40) and reducing nitrogen input. The goal is an N-K-Ca balance adjusted to each crop stage.
Why is calcium so important in organic tomato?
+
Calcium is fundamental for fruit cell wall integrity. Calcium deficiency, especially accompanied by high temperatures or irrigation irregularities, causes blossom-end rot. Ecoganic CALCIUM 40, with ultrafine particles <1μm, has especially effective foliar absorption to prevent this problem.
Can I use the tomato program in greenhouse?
+
Yes. All products are suitable for both open-field and greenhouse tomato. In greenhouses, drip fertigation is the most efficient method of applying liquid products.
