Organic fertilization for vegetables
Vegetables are high-demand, short-cycle crops that require precise fertilization at each phase. Organoleptic quality — BRIX, color and firmness — depends directly on potassium and calcium nutrition during the bulking phase. A well-designed organic program, chloride-free and highly soluble, can increase BRIX by up to 25% and significantly improve post-harvest life.

FAQs about vegetable fertilization
How to increase BRIX in organic vegetables?
+
BRIX (sugar degrees) in vegetables depends mainly on potassium nutrition during the bulking phase. Ecoganic K-FLOW 20, 100% chloride-free, provides high-purity potassium that optimizes sugar transport to the fruit. In a trial with zucchini, a 25% increase in BRIX was recorded with NITROTECH applied through fertigation. Combining K-FLOW 20 with CALCIUM 40 also improves firmness and post-harvest life.
How to prevent blossom-end rot in organic pepper and tomato?
+
Blossom-end rot (Botrytis basal in pepper, apical rot in tomato) is a physiological disorder caused by calcium deficiency in the developing fruit. Regular applications of CALCIUM 40, with micronized calcium at particle size <1μm, ensure fast and efficient absorption even under high temperature or water stress conditions. Application every 7-10 days during fruit set and bulking is recommended.
Are Ecoganic products suitable for certified organic vegetables?
+
Yes. All products in the Ecoganic range are certified under CE 2018/848 (EU), NOP USDA (USA) and JAS (Japan). They are suitable for certified organic vegetable production under any recognized control body in Spain and Europe, including Caae, Ecocert, Bureau Veritas and others.
