Organic fertilization for strawberry
Strawberry has a high calcium demand for fruit firmness and prevention of blossom-end rot (Botrytis), and a critical potassium demand during bulking to maximize BRIX and color. A well-designed organic program, chloride-free and with highly soluble products for fertigation, can make the difference in quality and post-harvest performance.
Recommended products for strawberry
All 100% chloride-free. Certified CE 2018/848 + NOP USDA. 100% soluble for fertigation.

NITROTECH 2.5
100% chloride-free liquid organic nitrogen for crop establishment and stolon development. Ideal for drip fertigation without salinization risk.
NPK 2.5-0-0 · 10L, 20L, 300L

CALCIUM 40
Micronized calcium <1μm to prevent blossom-end rot and improve fruit firmness and post-harvest life. Especially critical under high temperature or water stress conditions.
NPK 0-0-0+Ca · 10L, 20L, 1000L

K-FLOW 20
High-purity potassium 100% chloride-free to maximize BRIX, color and fruit firmness. Strawberry is very sensitive to conventional potassium chloride — K-FLOW 20 is the ideal organic alternative.
NPK 0-0-20 · 10L, 20L, 1000L

BOOST UNIVERSAL
Freshwater unicellular algae biostimulant to improve fruit set, water stress response and metabolic activity at critical moments of the cycle.
NPK 0-0-1 · 10L, 20L, 1000L

PHOSMAX 20
Assimilable phosphorus to stimulate rapid rooting after transplanting. Essential for tray-planted strawberry, where fast establishment determines the season's productivity.
NPK 0-20-0 · 1L, 5L, 200L

MICRO PLUS 1-0-0
Chelated micronutrients (Fe, Mn, Zn, B) to prevent common deficiencies in strawberry grown on substrates or high-pH soils that limit iron and manganese availability.
NPK 1-0-0 · 1L, 5L, 10L
FAQs about strawberry fertilization
Why does strawberry need so much calcium?
+
Calcium is essential for the integrity of the fruit cell wall. A calcium deficiency during bulking causes blossom-end rot (tip necrosis) and soft fruits with very short post-harvest life. Under high temperature conditions, calcium absorption can be compromised even with adequate soil levels, so foliar and irrigation applications with CALCIUM 40 are fundamental.
What is the relationship between potassium and BRIX in strawberry?
+
Potassium is the main regulator of sugar synthesis and transport in the plant. An adequate supply of K-FLOW 20 during the bulking phase directly improves BRIX degrees, red color and fruit firmness. Being 100% chloride-free, it does not compromise organoleptic quality or post-harvest life, unlike conventional KCl.
Are Ecoganic products compatible with drip fertigation in strawberry?
+
Yes. All Ecoganic products are 100% soluble in cold water and free of impurities that could clog drippers. Liquid formats (NITROTECH 2.5, CALCIUM 40, K-FLOW 20) are injected directly into the irrigation system. They are especially suitable for tray or soil strawberry with drip irrigation systems.
