FAQs about vineyard fertilization

How do Ecoganic products improve Brix degrees in vineyards?

+

Brix degrees (sugar concentration) in grapes are mainly improved with strategic potassium applications during the veraison period (BBCH 81-85). PK-FLOW 20-20 and K-FLOW 20 provide phosphorus and potassium in highly bioavailable forms that favor synthesis and accumulation of sugars in the berry. Fulvic acids (FULVEX) applied at ripening enhance the absorption of all nutrients and improve final must quality.

How can coulure be prevented in organic vineyards?

+

Coulure (massive flower drop without setting) is prevented with algae biostimulant applications at pre-bloom (BBCH 55-57). BOOST UNIVERSAL and UNIVERSAL POWER improve pollen viability, fertilization process and flower retention. Applied 7-10 days before flowering, they significantly reduce the coulure percentage.

Is post-harvest fertilization important in vineyards?

+

Yes, post-harvest fertilization is critical in organic vineyards. After harvest, the vine needs to replenish the carbon and nitrogen reserves expended during production. NITROTECH 2.5 and PHOSMAX 20 applications after harvest strengthen the root system and improve winter cold resistance. Good post-harvest recovery directly translates into better budbreak in the next season.
